Council urged to take control
WARRINGTON Borough Council is being urged to take advantage of a
government scheme to promote sustainable communities which could involve
the transfer of powers and public money from central to local control.
Planners throw out Tesco scheme
SUPERMARKET giants Tesco have been refused permission to install new signage at one of their Warrington stores following claims they were not good neighbours.
The borough’s planning committee threw out the proposals for the Tesco Express store in Orford Green, Orford.
