A LOCAL version of television’s “Question Time” is being organised in Stockton Heath just one week before the General Election.
Patrick Mullee – a former member of Stockton Heath Parish Council – and Gary Bebbington have booked St Thomas’ Church Hall, Stockton Heath for Thursday April 29 at 7.30pm for the event.
Warrington South candidates of the three main parties – David Mowat (Conservative), Nick Bent (Labour) and Jo Crotty (Liberal Democrat) have been invited – and so far Mr Mowat and Mr Bent have agreed to attend.
Mr Mullee said people from South Warrington are invited to attend. Pupils from Lymm High School who are studying politics will also be attending.
About 100 tickets are available. It is hoped to attract about 30 young undecided voters, who will be polled at the end of the night to see what influence the debate has had on their views.
Admission is free and there will be tea and biscuits provided. Tickets are available from Mr Mullee on 01925 601914.
