Two more patients die at Warrington Hospital and 73 new COVID-19 cases confirmed

TWO more patients have sadly died at Warrington Hospital, as the UK saw the highest number of daily deaths since May, while 73 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the town according to the latest daily update from Public Health England.

The 73 (136) new COVID-19 positive cases reported in the latest daily update from Public Health England, means the total number of confirmed cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 6,325 (6,116).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days are 930 – 442.8 per 100,000 population.

Covid-19 positive inpatients 149 (147) – Of which 17 (17) are in ICU
Total number of tests (inpatients/community) cumulative – 32,610 (32,291)
Total tests with a positive result (inpatients/community/died/discharged) cumulative 2,186 (2,155)
Discharges of positive patients (excluding deaths) cumulative 623 (616)
Deaths of Covid-19 positive inpatients cumulative 198 (196)
According to the latest data from Public Health England there have now been 205 (202) deaths in Warrington, 97.6 per 100,000 population.
Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 397 (136), taking the total number of deaths to 47,250 (46,853).
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 20,018 (18,950), taking the total number to 1,073,882 (1,053,864).
Across the country, there are 11,458 (10,918) patients currently in hospital and 1,075 (978) patients in ventilator beds.
