Five more hospital deaths and 136 new COVID-19 cases confirmed

FIVE more patients have sadly died at Warrington Hospital while 136 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the town according to the latest daily update from Public Health England.

The 136 (132) new COVID-19 positive cases reported in the latest daily update from Public Health England, means the total number of confirmed cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 6,252 (6,116).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days are 939 – 447.1 per 100,000 population.
There have been eight deaths at the hospital since last Friday, although three of these were included in previous updates over the weekend.

Covid-19 positive inpatients 147 (140) – Of which 17 (17) are in ICU
Total number of tests (inpatients/community) cumulative – 32,291 (31,666)
Total tests with a positive result (inpatients/community/died/discharged) cumulative 2,155 (2,088)
Discharges of positive patients (excluding deaths) cumulative 616 (598)
Deaths of Covid-19 positive inpatients cumulative 196 (188)
According to the latest data from Public Health England there have now been 202 (201) deaths in Warrington, 96.2 per 100,000 population.
Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 136 (162), taking the total number of deaths to 46,853 (46,717).
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 18,950 (23,254), taking the total number to 1,053,864 (1,034,914).
Across the country, there are 10,918 (10,918) patients currently in hospital and 978 (978) patients in ventilator beds.
