Warrington’s latest COVID-19 hotspots revealed as 190 new cases reported

WARRINGTON’s latest COVID-19 hotspots have been revealed while a further 190 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Warrington in the latest daily update from Public Health England.

The latest “small areas” data updated by PHE yesterday reveals Kingswood and Whittle Hall had the highest number of reported cases in Warrington with 60 in the seven day period up to October 24.
Next came Hood Manor and Sankey Bridges with 54 and then Callands & Old Hall with 53.
Meanwhile, the 190 (124) new COVID-19 positive cases have been reported in the latest daily update from Public Health England, which means the total number of confirmed cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 5,846 (5,656).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days are 892 – 424.7 per 100,000 population.
Latest figures from Warrington & Halton Hospitals updated Friday 30th October 2020 – Thursday’s figures in brackets. Figures are not updated at weekends.
Covid-19 positive inpatients 140 (145) – Of which 17 (17) are in ICU
Total number of tests (inpatients/community) cumulative – 31,666 (31,389)
Total tests with a positive result (inpatients/community/died/discharged) cumulative 2,088 (2,058)
Discharges of positive patients (excluding deaths) cumulative 598 (584)
Deaths of Covid-19 positive inpatients cumulative 188 (188)
A total of 45 patients have died at the hospital in the month of October.

According to the latest data from Public Health England there have now been 201 (197) deaths in Warrington, 95.7 per 100,000 population.
Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 274 (280), taking the total number of deaths to 46,229 (45,955).
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 24,405 (23,065), taking the total number to 989,745 (965,340).
Across the country, there are 10,708 (10,308) patients currently in hospital and 975 (957) patients in ventilator beds.
