VIDEO: THE South Warrington Parish Councils Local Plan Group held its first webinar last night (Tuesday) to put over its vision for a ‘New Plan for a Changing World’.

The event was chaired by myself and there was a panel of four councillors from the Group who answered questions from the public. Before the Q & A session, a nine-minute video put together by the Group was shown, which can be viewed above.
Speaking after the event Chairman of the Group Cllr Cliff Taylor said, “We were delighted that nearly 100 people logged in to the event. Around 60 questions were submitted but we only had time to answer a small number. Answers to all these will be available on the Grappenhall & Thelwall Parish Council website within the next few days. Visit https://grappenhallandthelwallpc.org.uk/
“There have been massive global, national and local changes since the start of the Local Plan preparation. The Council’s pause has allowed us all to take a step back. We have come up with the elements of a new Plan for the Council to put forward that would have public support and be of benefit to the whole town.

“On Thursday evening we are holding a second webinar for Borough Councillors, Borough Officers and Parish Councillors. After tomorrow, I urge local residents who support our objectives to lobby their Councillors to take on board our proposals. We want Warrington Council to give our town a New Plan for this New World.,” added Cllr Taylor.
