COLLEGE students and staff at Warrington have responded in a big way to an appeal for Easter eggs to donate to a worthwhile cause.More than 100 chocolate treats were collected at Priestley College and are being distributed throughout the borough to disadvantaged children by the borough council’s children and young people’s service.
Suzanne Williams and Lynsey Kenwright from the council service visited the Loushers Lane campus to collect the goodies and met with numerous helpers including students Jordan Dignam, Chloe Flannery, Megan Sumner and Sophie Humphries.
Bev Devlin, curriculum manager at Priestley, said: “We have been running a similar idea each Easter for sometime and once again I was amazed at the contribution from our very caring college community.
“As is the case in the majority of these things, it’s always the thought that counts and hopefully we have played a very small part in bringing the odd smile to a child within the borough over the holiday period.”
