Man attacked in his own home

A 23-year-old Warrington man suffered injuries to his arm and stomach when he was attacked in his own home by two men – one brandishing a knife.
Police have appealed for help from the public in tracking down the offenders who forced their way into the victim’s home in Teal Grove, Birchwood, at about 6.20pm on Saturday (March 27).
They are anxious to hear from anyone who saw the offenders in the area of Teal Grove or Mallard Close either before or after the attempted robbery.
The victim was confront by the two men, who gained entry to the man’s flat through an unlocked front door.
They demanded money and threatened the man with a knife.
The occupier suffered scratch injuries to his stomach and his left arm but eventually managed to persuade his attackers that he had no money and they left empty handed.
One was about 5ft 9 inches tall, slim and aged about 18 or a little older. He wore a dark, hooded tracksuit top with a white stripe on the shoulders, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
His accomplice was about 6ft 1inch, a similar age and also wore a dark, hooded top and trousers, but had white trainers. Both had scarves concealing their faces and both spoke with local accents.
