Scouts' mercy mission to Kenya

0

SIXTEEN Warrington West Explorer Scouts are to visit Kenya in August to help a local community develop a water supply.
While in Kenya, the group will also spend time experiencing school life there and also visit the World Moot – a gathering of older scouts – when some 2,500 scouts aged 18-25 will meet at Rowallen Scout Camp, Nairobi.
The party has been presented with £2,500 by Risley-based International Nuclear Services Ltd to support First Aid training for the exhibition leaders and scouts and the provision of safety clothing and equipment for the 10 days they will be helping to build a dam across a water course.
In this project – which will help in the development of local water supplies – they will be partnered with charity Excellent Development
