Man arrested after van hits tree

POLICE at Warrington today appealed for witnesses after a van careered off the road and collided with a tree.
The crash occurred on the A56 at Agden Brow, Lymm, close to the Wheatsheaf pub.
A 25-year-old man was arrested following the crash but later freed on bail. A 25-year-old passenger in the white Renault van suffered leg injuries and was taken to hospital, where he is still being treated.
Police said the accident involved only the one vehicle which appeared to have left the road and hit a tree.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, at about 2.20am on Saturday (March 27) is asked to call police on 01244 613813.
