Care services earn three star ratings

AN inspection and review of two council care services at Warrington has seen both earn three star excellent ratings.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) carried out an annual service review of ASLD Network Services and an inspection of the Council Community Home Care, which both support people who want to live independently in their own homes.
There were many highlights for ASLD Network Services, which supports adults with learning disabilities – including praise for its dedication to its clients.
Part of the review asked for feedback from people who use the service and drew comments such as: “Staff help me to be independent and support me to make my own decisions” and “They help me with medication and keep me safe.”
The outcome for the Council Community Home Care for older people in Warrington was equally glowing. It was commended for the commitment of the staff, and clients told inspectors there is a warm, relaxed relationship between them and the carers.
Coun Roy Smith, (pictured) the council’s executive member for health and well being said: “Warrington has a reputation for providing excellent services to older and disabled people. I am delighted that the outcome of these reviews confirm that our services retain their standard of excellence. I would like to thank all the staff who work so hard to make these services such a valuable asset to the borough.”
The CQC makes recommendations on how health and adult social care service can improve. However, the recommendation in this case was to simply “keep up the good work.”
