BEAUTY queen Catriona Cameron will take on the role of Alice in Wonderland when she attends a celebrity event this 
weekend.
Actress Catriona, current reigning Miss Cheshire and Miss Daresbury Galaxy, makes a character appearance on behalf of Warrington-based Party Crew, at the opening of a shoe store in Liverpool.
She said: “With the recent release of the Tim Burton film, Alice has become a popular request.
“I will be spending the Easter holidays playing Alice everyday at the Tattenhall Ice Cream Farm in Cheshire. We’re holding a Mad Hatters Tea Party for children – it should be a fantastic event.”
She represents Daresbury, birthplace of Alice author Lewis Carroll, in the Miss Galaxy competition. The competition final will also be held this weekend at the Daresbury De Vere Hotel.
“Alice in Wonderland was always my favourite story as a child and as my nickname is ‘Cat’ – the Cheshire Cat is definitely my favourite character,” she said.
“I’m a Sunday School teacher at Daresbury Church and I think it’s wonderful that Lewis Carroll’s stories are still entertaining children today. The new film is brilliant and hopefully it will encourage children to read the books too.”
