POLICE at Warrington have finally named the man whose body was found in picturesque Lymm Dam last week.
He was Terrence Badger, aged 76, from Knutsford.
An inquest has been opened and adjourned after evidence of identification. It will be resumed on a date to be arranged.
The body was recovered by police last Friday morning after it was spotted by a 27-year-old man walking a dog.
Police do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances – and have denied a rumour that a second body was found in the Dam at the same time.
