FIREFIGHTERS went to a convenience store at Great Sankey, Warrington, last night following a report of smoke coming from an office within the building.
Two fire engines, from Penketh and Warrington, went to the scene in Hawthorne Avenue.
They discovered the smoke stemmed from a small transmitter for a tannoy system. The transmitter was unplugged and removed to a safe place.
Firefighters also used a ventilation unit to make sure smoke was cleared from the office.
They were at the scene for more than 15 minutes.
