Firefighters called out to electrical fire

FIREFIGHTERS were called out to an electrical fire at a house in Penketh, Warrington, yesterday evening.

At 6.45pm firefighters from Penketh were called to reports of fire at a house on fire on Ealing Road.
On arrival the crew found a small fire involving an overloaded socket.
Firefighters isolated the electrics to stop the fire, they then used a thermal imaging camera to check for any hotspots.
The crew were detained at the address for around one hour.

In another incident shortly after 8pm firefighters from Warrington used a water back pack to extinguish a small fire in the open on Marsden Avenue.
The crew were in attendance for around 15 minutes.
