No new hospital or care home COVID-19 related deaths but three new cases confirmed

THERE have been no further COVID-19 related deaths at Warrington Hospital and no deaths in local care homes for more than a week, but three new cases have been confirmed at the hospital in the last 24 hours.

A total of 125 COVID-19 patients have sadly died at the hospital, while at least 96 people have also sadly died in local care homes, taking the town’s death toll to at least 221.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases of Warrington residents reported at the hospital is now 785 – a rate of 374.6 per 100,000 population.
Meanwhile there had been no deaths relating to Covid-19 in local care homes for nine days.
Weekly figures published today by the Office for National Statistics and Care Quality Commission show that as of last Friday, (June) 5 at least 96 people had died in local care homes.
There had not been a Covid-19 death recorded in a Warrington care home since Wednesday, May 27.

Across the UK the Daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 286 taking the total number of deaths to 40,883.
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 1,387 taking the total number to 289,140.
