Thug in bid to rob woman driver

POLICE at Warrington are hunting a thug who tried to rob a woman motorist on a car park.
The incident took place on the afternoon of February 4 but police have only released details today.
A 53-year-old woman had visited Bent’s garden centre in Warrington Road, Glazebury and had returned to the car park to get into her car.
As she was climbing into the driver’s seat she became aware of a man getting into the front passenger seat.
He demanded her keys but when she screamed jumped out and ran off.
Police say he was in his early 20s with a large nose and pale complexion and brown eyes. He was wearing a hooded top. He spoke with a local accent.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or thinks they recognise the offender from an efit picture that has been issued is asked to call DC Tom Hall at Warrington police station on 0545 458 0000 or the confidential Crimestoppers line 0800 555 111.
