Hospital COVID-19 related death toll climbs to 104 and four new confirmed cases

FOUR more patients have sadly died at Warrington Hospital after testing positive for COVID-19, while four new cases have been confirmed at the hospital.

The number of patients who have now died at the hospital is 104, along with at least 57 deaths in local care homes taking the town’s death toll to at least 161.
The number of people from Warrington testing positive for COVID-19 at the hospital in the last 24 hours was four, taking the total to 687.
As of noon yesterday, Monday, the hospital had discharged a total of 235 patients.
Across the UK the Daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 627 taking the total number to 32,692.
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 3,403 taking the total number to 226,463.

Meanwhile at the daily Downing Street coronavirus briefing Business Secretary Alok Sharma Sharma outlined the new rules coming into effect in England , tomorrow (Wednesday) – including that people who cannot work from home should start going into work, so long as it is safe to do so. And that people can meet one other person from outside their household outside.
From the start of June some children may start being able to go back to school and businesses might be able to re-open and from 4 July, some hospitality companies may be able to restart.
