THE last “Supermoon” of the year, known as the Flower Moon, lit up Warrington last night, as captured in these photographs by local photographer Eddie Whitham.

The “supermoon” was the fourth one this year and  it will not make another appearance until April 2021.

This particular moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Flower Moon as flowers are abundant this time of year in most areas.
But it also has several other names including the Corn Planting Moon or the Milk Moon.
The three other supermoons that lit up the sky were on February 9, March 9 and April 8.
