Firefighters tackle Penketh shed blaze

FIREFIGHTERS wearing breathing apparatus tackled a blaze at a house in Penketh, Warrington, last night, involving a shed which was well alight.

Two fire crews from Penketh were called to the property on Cifford Rad shortly after 7pm
On arrival the crews discovered one shed well alight which was affecting a nearby house.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
A large fan was used to ventilate the property.The crews then checked a neighbouring property for smoke and fire spread.

It is believed that the fire had started accidentally.No-one was injured.The crews remained on the scene for around two hours and 30 minutes.
