How to keep those resolutions

AN NHS health team is urging people in Warrington to stick to New Year resolutions about healthy eating by signing up for one of several free weight management courses.
Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s “Food and Health” team aims to help people improve their lifestyle by making healthier choices and having a healthier mindset.
The service offers free courses and drop in clinics to meet individual needs and can offer advice on which one would be the most effective.
The Healthy Lifestyle programme is an eight week option designed to help weight-loss by changing lifestyle habits. The Healthy Weight programme is based on evidence which shows that the best way to lose weight is by eating a healthy balanced diet and being more physically active.
Each session will provide information and support through behaviour change on healthy eating, being more active and keeping motivated.
Afterwards there is a follow up for 12 months which includes a drop-in clinic. One to one sessions for four weeks are available to support individuals if the groups are not suitable.
Cook Healthy, Eat Well (Chew) is a four week course offering a chance to learn how to make some basic, tasty, cost effective recipes. Different recipes will be prepared and cooked each week.
Alternatively, open sessions are held at the Warrington Wolves Stadium on a Monday night 5pm to 6.45pm and on a Tuesday morning 10-12noon for more information and support before or after finishing the programmes.
