FOUR years ago today marked one of the saddest days in Warrington’s history when the band members of Viola Beach and their manager tragically died following an accident while on tour in Sweden.
While all the band died their memory continues to live on in their music.
The band all attended Priestley College where their memory lives on with the Viola Beach Stage.
Viola Beach, which consisted of Kris Leonard (guitar and vocals), River Reeves (guitar), Tomas Lowe (bass guitar) and Jack Dakin (drums) and their manager Craig Tarry, died when their car plunged from a bridge in Södertälje, Sweden on February 13, 2016
The tragedy made headline news around the world.
An inquest in December 2016 said the exact facts of the tragedy might never be known, but all five young men died as a result of a road traffic collision.

Just been reminded by the radio that the world lost #ViolaBeach four years ago today.
A massive talent lost. Their posthumously released album is excellent. And of course who could forget this lovely little song they wrote 💔https://t.co/OGgPVhqjOR— George (@GeorgeG1989) February 13, 2020
