VIDEO: Warrington North MP Charlotte Nichols talks about her “whirlwind” election which has turned every element of her life upside down.
While there was much talk at the time of her being “parachuted” in during the selection process, Charlotte has many fond memories of Warrington from her childhood as a regular visitor to Gullivers World and in her early working life.
Having secured her office in the House of Commons, she is currently busy setting up her constituency office, recruiting her team and in the process of buying a house in Orford.
She admits that since her selection on November 5th every element of her life has been turned upside down.
But now she is keen to get on with the job in hand, representing her constituents in Warrington North.
She has already experienced her first game at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, supporting Mike Cooper in his testimonial season and is looking forward to the visit of St Helens on Thursday. She is also a big fan of non league football and has already been to show her support for Warrington Town FC.
While there will always be political differences with Warrington South MP Andy Carter, she is more than happy to work jointly on issues important to the town, like a new hospital.
She is also planning to run the London Marathon, raising funds for the “inspirational” Warrington Wolves Foundation andf is a regular at the Warrington Park Run as part of her training.
