A WARRINGTON report designed to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the NHS has won an award.
NHS Warrington won the award for Best Annual Report at the CorpComms Awards 2009.
The awards commend excellence in corporate communications and the local team won in the category of Best Annual Report – not-for-profit and public sector organisations.
The report was designed in calendar format, marrying archive material from 1948 with the 2007/08 record. It was called “Time… A time for positive change, time to reflect and look to the future” and was printed on parchment style backgrounds, with a clear contrast between the modern and archive pages.
NHS Warrington head of corporate affairs Maria Austin said: “This award is a clear demonstration that public sector organisations, who work with extremely limited budgets, can create innovative, interesting and award winning publications.
Being recognised alongside major national commercial organisations is a great achievement for NHS Warrington and the staff who work within the communications team.”
