Wellbeing tree planted

PARENTS were encouraged to “turn over a new leaf” when a special Christmas tree promoting health was planted in Warrington.
Warrington’s Wellbeing Mentors planted the Wellbeing Christmas Tree at Radley Common in honour of its Stay ‘n’ Play group, a play scheme that carers have set up to support and provide activities for local children and their carers.
Large paper leaves were distributed to parents, and they were asked to write down on them what they would change about themselves. The leaves were later laminated and hung on the tree to symbolise those in attendance turning over a new leaf.
The mentors are part of the recently launched Wellbeing Service, and they aim to encourage people to make small changes to their lifestyle for improvements to their health and wellbeing.
