FIREFIGHTERS were called to the Iceland store in Crosfield Street, Warrington, early today after fire broke out in a refrigerator unit.
Two fire engines from Warrington and Penketh attended the incident shortly before 5am and found that the fire was out but that the Iceland store was smoke-logged.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus inspected the building for signs of fire and used a ventilation unit to clear smoke from the building. The electricity supply was isolated from the affected unit which was then removed from the store.
Fire crews were at the scene for about 50 minutes.
