ADULT social care services in Warrington are “performing well” according to a new report by the Care Quality Commission.
This means the borough council’s services are consistently delivering above the minimum requirements for people.
The commission’s inspection assesses seven main service areas and gives them a score rating.
In Warrington, three areas scored “excellent” and four scored “well” – resulting in an overall judgement of performing well.
The seven service areas are: Improved health and well-being (excellent); Improved quality of life (well); Making a positive contribution (excellent); Increased choice and control (well); Freedom from discrimination or harassment (well); Economic well-being (well); Maintaining personal dignity and respect (excellent).
Coun Roy Smith, (pictured) the council’s executive member for health and well being, said: “This is great news and we welcome the report’s findings and its recommendations. We are proud of the work our staff do at all levels to serve the most vulnerable people in Warrington.
“Supporting people in their communities is a responsibility which we take seriously and we are committed to working with our partners to deliver services that people need to help improve their lives.”
