New store set to open

A NEW store is set to open in Warrington’s Bridge Street – providing a welcome boost to a shopping thoroughfare where too many businesses have pulled out in recent years.
Cash Generator is a national brand with more than 100 stores and will be operated in Warrington on a franchise basis by businessman Chi Leung, creating five local jobs.
The store is due to open on Saturday, December 12 offering shoppers the opportunity to buy, sell and exchange ideas for the home.
It will offer discount prices on a wide range of pre-owned, brand new and quality graded items, including TVs, DVDs, iPods, musical instruments and much more.
Shoppers will also be able to cash in on the value of their unwanted goods, with the store buying most items of value and offering instant cash.
Julian Urry, managing director at Cash Generator, said: “For a long time now we have been looking at potential sites in Warrington and are delighted to be opening a store in the heart of the town centre.
“Shoppers can expect a completely different retail experience. With internet auction sites increasing in popularity making the buying and selling of pre-owned goods of every kind more fashionable, we are confident that our services in store will be well received in Warrington.”
On opening day, the store will celebrate with an “instant win” prize booth where shoppers can try and grab as many prizes as they can in a 30-second time slot.

  1. 5 local jobs ??? Anyway good to see a new business opening up in Bridge Street at last. Sounds a similar setup to the second hand/graded shop that used to be in Cockhedge centre although I hope this one is not as OTT with it’s sales prices and not as miserly with their purchase price. There is a market for good quality secondhand goods and if it’s as good as Ebay but without all the inconvenience then they should do well.

  2. I knew a guy who used to buy things on credit and then take them to the cockhedge store and get the money to buy fags with!! There was a big expose about these type of stores a while back and to be honest they don’t appear any more reputable than the “we buy your gold dot com” type of organisations who make a fast buck from people down on their luck
