SMALL businesses in Warrington are being warned to take no notice of “cold callers” and sales people who claim their products or services are endorsed by Cheshire Police.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Constabulary said: “We had a problem with these types of calls this time last year too.
“Just to be clear -we don’t sponsor any commercial organisation or company, they are not backed by us and we don’t endorse any products.”
Businesses that receive calls from companies claiming to be associated with Cheshire police should call their local Trading Standards office.

Why don’t the Police prosecute these companies for allegedly gaining money by deception or false claims?
