Gunmen in raid on shop

POLICE at Warrington are hunting two men who threatened a shop assistant with a handgun.
The daylight robbery was at a shop in Bridgewater Avenue, Latchford.
Two men, one brandishing the gun, went into the shop at ab out 2.40pm yesterday (Thursday) and demanded that the woman assistant open the till.
She was not hurt but was left badly shaken by the incident.
The offenders left the shop on foot. One was described as being in his mid-20s, wearing a dark blue jacket with a hood pulled over his face. He wore dark tracksuit bottoms and spoke with a local accent. The other wore a black, waterproof style jacket, dark tracksuit bottoms and white trainers. He had a dark scarf pulled over his face.
Police have not revealed if the pair obtained any money.
