Village roads to be closed

SIX busy village centre roads – plus Lymm Bridge – are to be affected by temporary traffic bans for approximately six months while old gas mains are renewed.
Work is expected to start on Monday, January 11 and will be carried out in phases to try and minimise disruption.
Roads affected are Whitbarrow Road, Bridgewater Street, Eagle Brow, The Cross, New Road, Rectory Lane and, of course, Lymm Bridge.
The work, being carried out for National Grid, will also require the temporary suspension of waiting restrictions in Eagle Brow and The Cross.
Notices will be displayed when restrictions are in force and alternative routes will be signposted.
