Toaster believed to have started kitchen fire

A TOASTER under a kitchen unit is believed to have started a fire at a house in Well Farm close, Woolston, Warrington.
Smoke alarms were sounding as firefighters from Birchwood and Lymm entered the property and tackled the blaze with a hose reel jet.
The fire was confined to the kitchen, although smoke affected the rest of the property and firefighters had to use a ventilation unit to clear smoke…
No-one was harmed in the incident but crews were at the scene for around an hour-and-a-half.
The toaster was removed from the house
