The Green Flag award recognises high quality parks and open spaces across the country. The following places all received the commendation:

* Fox Covert Cemetery
* Hollinfare Cemetery
The council’s cabinet member for leisure and community, Cllr Tony Higgins said: “We’re absolutely delighted to receive the Green Flag Award yet again for 12 of our fantastic locations.
“These awards reflect the dedication that goes into maintaining all these places to such a high standard.
“We know quality open spaces are important to our residents and visitors, and we’re incredibly proud to receive this national recognition.”
International Green Flag Award scheme manager Paul Todd said: “Each flag honours the thousands of staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to maintain the high standards demanded by the Green Flag Award. We congratulate each and every winner on their fantastic achievement.”
