Go wild at Green Safari Day

1

THE annual Green Safari event returns to Risley Moss nature reserve in Birchwood tomorrow (Sunday).

Organised jointly by Warrington Borough Council’s ranger service, in partnership with the Risley Moss Action Group,

There’s lots to see and do, in a special day celebrating all things green. Families can see birds of prey and farm animals, get creative with arts and crafts, enjoy stories and boggart puppet shows, or take a stroll and explore the reserve.

Visitors to the event can also pop in to the visitor centre to get a preview of the new observation tower, which is due to start on site later this year. Risley Moss rangers will be displaying the design and location of the tower, and will be on-hand to answer any questions.

Kicking off at 12 noon and running until 4pm – with an entrance fee of £1 for adults and 50p for children – the Green Safari has something for everyone.

Event entrance is at the Risley Moss visitor centre, Birchwood Ordnance Avenue, WA3 6QX. For more information, call 01925 824339.
