Think about drink!

PATIENTS, staff and visitors to Warrington Hospital can find out more about the safe limits of alcohol tomorrow (Wednesday).
Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s Alcohol Liaison Team will be available in the foyer of the hospital from 1.30pm until 3.30pm as part of Alcohol Awareness Week.
They want to encourage adults to think about how much they drink, raise awareness of the health risks of drinking above the recommended limits for regular drinking, and to provide straight-forward help for those who want to cut back.
The team sees on average around 1,820 alcohol related cases per year in all areas of the hospitals and generally aims to see patients within 24 – 48 hours. They respond to queries from wards, give guidance on managing patient care and hospital discharge.
The service also provides advice, information, withdrawal and stabilisation management, brief interventions and referral on to specialist alcohol services.
If you would like to speak to someone concerning alcohol call ADS (Addiction Dependency Solutions) on 01925 428 465 for advice.
