Arsonists strike in Warrington woodland

A FIRE in woodland at Warrington is believed have been started deliberately.
The blaze in a wooded area off Station Road, Penketh near to the Riverside Trading Estate, was reported at about 9.30pm last night.
Firefighters used a water backpack to extinguish the flames and were at the scene for about 40 minutes.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101.
Around the same time a fire was reported in the garden of a house in Ackers Road, Stockton Heath.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to tackle the blaze, which involved a large bush and was well alight. They were at the scene for about 15 minutes.
