The National Association of British Market Authorities – the country’s leading organisation for promoting the interests of British markets – presented Steve with the “Outstanding Achievement Award for Contribution to the Market Industry” at its annual conference in Blackpool in recognition of his efforts to promote markets both locally and on a national scale.
The award was presented by the then President of NABMA, Gareth Jones.
Coun Bob Barr, Warrington Borough Council’s executive member for planning, regeneration and housing, said: “This is the third accolade the market and its management have received this year, which is a fantastic achievement. Congratulations Steve.”
Steve said: “This has been a good year for Warrington Market and this award really is very special to me as it has come from colleagues across the country working within the market industry.”

  1. Steve’s a great motivator, planner who incorporates a great sense of fun at work his imagination and creativity worked wonders in the market adverts. Mind you the gorrilla on the mobillity scooter escaping with bananas nearly knocked me over but hey that’s show business. It was like being in a Ricky Gervais episode of Extras, great fun and a great result. Roll on the next series.

  2. I have worked closely with Steve for a decade now and he is a pleasure to work with and very supportive of the local community and promoting everything good about our town.

Well done Steve – keep up the good work.
