Pub couple say farewell

0

DAVID and Pauline James, mine hosts at the Spread Eagle, Lymm for the last five-and-half years, said farewell to regulars at a special evening at the Eagle Brow pub.
The couple have left to take over the Duckworth Arms at Ramsbottom but have taken with them, many memories of happy times in Lymm.
They hope some of their customers will make the trip to see them in their new hostelry.
Their last night at “The Spread” saw the pub packed out. There was music and food as regulars turned out in force to give the couple a good send-off.
Among those present were Patrick and Trudi Martindale, their predecessors behind the bar. Between them, the two couples ran the pub for more than nine years.
