FIRE crews were called out three times at Warrington last night – twice to deal with kitchen fires and once to tackle a skip fire.
Two fire engines were sent to Densham Avenue, Longford where fire had broken out in the kitchen.
Two crew members wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze with a hose reel jet and using a ventilation unit to clear some from the property.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a fault on a microwave oven. No injuries were reported and firefighters were at the scene for about an hour.
Earlier, two fire engines were sent to Greenwood Crescent, Orford – again to a fire in the kitchen.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze, believed to have been caused by an overheated grill pan. A ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the property and crews were present for about half-an-hour.
The skip fire was in Kingsway South, Latchford. One fire engine was sent to the scene and a hose reel jet used to extinguish the blaze.
Cause of the fire was not revealed.
