Police appeal for witnesses after woman seriously injured in collision at Penketh

UPDATED: POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was seriously injured following a collision on A562 Warrington Road at Penketh, at around 5pm yesterday (Thursday).

The road was closed following the incident and now police are seeking witnesses.

According to eye witness reports the collision involved a pedestrian and a vehicle.

The female pedestrian was taken to Aintree Hospitl with serious injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to call the police on 101 quoting IML 359281

The air ambulance attended at the scene, landing on the Greystone Recreation ground.
