CUSTOMERS at a Co-op store were transported to exotic shores when staff donned their summer best for a Beach Party.
Shoppers were surprised when the Co-op in Cherry Lane, Lymm was decorated to look like a holiday resort and staff were dressed in shorts, shades, sombreros and sarongs.
Donations were collected and the shop raised £261 for the RNID – the charity for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. So far the store chain has already raised £1 million across the UK for RNID.
Store manager Wayne Hill said: “It went really well and we were pleased to raise money for a worthy cause. The store looked fantastic and the staff really enjoyed dressing up.”
