WARRINGTON’S mental health providers The 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Trust are holding their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 23 at the DW (formerly JJB) stadium in Wigan.
The AGM will feature a marketplace, from 1.30pm to 2.30pm, where people will be able to find out more about services, sign-up to become a member of the Trust’s Foundation Trust and give their comments about mental health by using a ‘Big Brother’ style booth.
The AGM itself will run from 2.30pm to 4pm, with presentations from service users, carers and staff, including the chief executive, as well as a question and answer session. The Annual Report and Accounts will also be presented.
The event will focus on service user and carer involvement and will feature service user Ian Yates and carers Lynne Johnston and John Chiocchi, who will be talking about their experiences. John and Ian will be talking about their involvement in the Service User and Carer Involvement Scheme.
Simon Barber, chief executive, said: “The AGM is a great opportunity to find out more about us and there is the chance to chat to our staff, hear about what we’ve done in the past year and what we plan to do in the future. We had a really good turn-out last year so we hope to see lots of people there this year.”
The AGM will be held in the Wish FM Lounge at the stadium. For more information about getting to the stadium, including driving directions and information about public transport, go to www.dwstadium.co.uk
