Man of 84 dies after road collision outside hospital

POLICE at Warrington today issued an appeal for witnesses following the death of an 84-year-old man in a road collision

The man, aged 84, from Warrington was involved in the incident outside Warrington Hospital in Lovely Lane on Wednesday, February 20.

A white BMW car was involved in the collision, shortly before 1.45pm.

Sadly, he has since died at Aintree University Hospital, Liverpool

His family have been informed and they are being supported by specialist officers.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene following the collision.

Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and no arrests have been made.

Officers want to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information or dashcam footage which may aid the investigation.
