NHS Warrington is to set up stall with a “market place” where members of the public can ask questions and get answers.
A selection of services will be represented at the “market” at The Gateway, Sankey Street, Warrington on Friday, September 18.
Joining the health team will be the Stronger Together Team, who will put on displays about health in the community.
Plans for new health facilities in the town centre and at Orford will also be on show from 11am to 3pm.
An NHS recruitment team will be on hand to talk to people looking for a career in the health service and infection control nurses will answer queries about swine flu.
Visitors can also have a “health MOT”, get their blood pressure and BMI checked as well as receive advice on the stop smoking service, weight management, etc.
There will also be information about the 150th anniversary of community nursing in Warrington and displays from Community Matrons, Community Macmillan Nurses, District Nurses and Community Matrons in Nursing Homes.
At 3pm the annual general meeting of Warrington Primary Care Trust will be held – and members of the public will be invited to stay and learn more about the NHS.
