POLICE have warned motorists that a road traffic collision has closed part of the A49 at Lower Whitley, near Warrington.
The road is closed between Pill Moss Lane and Junction 10 of the M56 and, as a result, there are big tail-backs of traffic.
No details have been released about the crash, but it is understood that a motor cycle is involved.
