A WARRINGTON teenager who achieved outstanding results in his A Levels is heading to Cambridge University in October.
Alex Thewsey, 18, of Croft, obtained A grade A levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry, together with A grades in AS Level Electronics and Computing.
He is a former pupil of Croft Primary School, Culcheth High School, and later Priestley College, Warrington. He will study Engineering at Cambridge and hopes to work in defence.
Life is not all study for Alex – he enjoys snowboarding at the Chill Factor in Manchester and karting.
His parents, Carol and Mark, are “very proud” of him.
Carole said: “In these days of so much bad press about our young people I felt it only right to show that they can do well too.”
