Police seek witnesses of attack

POLICE are seeking witnesses of a street attack on a man at Warrington.
The attack was in Manchester Road and involved a 42-year-old local man who was walking home at about 11.15pm last night (Wednesday)
A group of people attacked him, leaving him with serious facial injuries which led to him being admitted to hospital.
Two men and a woman were subsequently arrested and are helping police with their enquiries.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.
