FORMER pop star and “Queen of the Jungle” Kerry Katona – has been released on bail after being arrested following an alleged assault on a man believed to be her former accountant at Warrington’s Hawthorne Business Park.
Police said the 28-year-old from Wilmslow was arrested on suspicion of assault, criminal damage and a public order offence.
Police said today the incident was shortly before 4pm yesterday (Wednesday).
It comes just days after the former Padgate girl was cautioned for possessing cocaine.
She had been filmed by a Sunday newspaper snorting cocaine and lost a six figure advertising contract as a consequence.
The newspaper video showed Katona snorting the class A drug through a £20 note in the bathroom of her home in Wilmslow.
Katona issued a public apology in an interview with the Sunday Mirror.
“I know I let everyone down – my fans, my family and people I work with,” the ex-Atomic Kitten singer was quoted as saying.
“It was a moment of weakness and stupidity and I regret it terribly.”

Regardless of these charges (which probably sound a lot worse than they were), how can it be ok for the media to take pictures of someone in their bathroom? Is nowhere private?
She must have let them in?! Celebs are mostly the same – attention seekers.
Seems a bit odd for anyone to let a film crew into their home to video them snorting an illegal substance.. Weird.
