Two overcome by smoke in flat fire

TWO people were treated by paramedics after being overcome by smoke during a fire at Warrington.
The blaze was at a flat in Toll Bar Road, Orford at 3.40am and fire engines from Warrington and Penketh went to the scene.
On arrival, crews found the fire involved an electrical vent in a ground floor flat and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled it using a hose reel jet.
A ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the property.
Fire crews were at the scene for about two hours and 10 minutes.
Around 5am, fire crews from Lymm and Birchwood went to the A49 Tarporley Road at Lower Whitley, near Warrington where one vehicle had been involved in a crash. One person was treated by paramedics and fire crews helped make the vehicle safe.
The team were at the scene for about half-an-hour.
