Playgroup ball raises £3,500

AN incredible £3,500 was raised at the first-ever Mid-Summer Night Ball organised by Lymm Village Hall Playgroup.
Almost 100 people attended the sell-out event at Lymm Hotel.
Master of Ceremonies Peter Powell – the Town Crier – led the auction and raffle, and guests enjoyed dinner and dancing.
Money raised will go towards the group’s next phase of development – securing a suitable outdoor play area for the children following the rejection of their original proposals for a fenced outdoor area in December.
The success of the ball means the group are already planning a similar event for next year.
